Stepping, or steppin' as it is affectionately known, has its roots imbedded in the traditional dance movements of its predecessors such as the BOP and the early dance movements of Swing dances that have been improvised over a period of time. It is a form of ballroom dancing which involves a lead and a follower synchronizing their steps in a complementary manner.
The Pittsburgh Steel City Steppers offers weekly Chicago-style Steppin’ lessons with Darryl, Karen and various instructors from Chicago and Cleveland. They also provide monthly workshops.
