Eve'n' Tracy Opens for Ellis

SongSpace welcomes Ellis and special guests Tracy Drach and Eve Goodman. Tickets will be available at the door the night of the show, or by email in advance ticket options.

Ellis may not be a household name, but once you’ve seen her perform you’re not likely to forget her. A mix of folk artist, dharma teacher, and comedienne, her music is best described by the effect it has on her audience rather than a particular genre. Simply put, she leaves audiences better than she finds them, with softened edges & opened hearts. In addition to selling more than 35,000 copies of her CDs independently, Ellis has accrued a wealth of accomplishments including national songwriting honors and performances at the Philadelphia Folk Festival, Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, Sisters Folk Festival and the Rocky Mountain Folk Festival. Ellis got her start performing the women’s/LGBT festival circuit in 2000, with regular performances at the Michigan Women’s Music Festival. In 2010, Ellis completed her seventh full-length recording, Right On Time.

Tracy Drach is a Pittsburgh-based singer/songwriter with irrepressible energy, good humor and magnificent presence. Her voice is rich and soulful, smoked velvet with a crystaline edge. Her music dances and flirts with the secrets we keep hidden in the shadows of ordinary living. Spicier than folk, headier than swing, it beckons us to the places we call home, whether she’s crooning out a ballad or stamping out a call for social change. Her audiences find her performances, best described as “smokin’ folk cabaret,” moving, healing and hilarious. Singer/songwriter Eve Goodman accompanies Tracy on guitar for this SongSpace show.
