Important Town Hall Meeting

Robinson Township has invited all of SWPA to a town hall meeting regarding critical drilling legislation being considered by Harrisburg. The legislation being hurried through the PA Senate and House would override local municipalities' rights all across PA to decide their ownregulation of drilling in their own townships and boroughs. If passed, Harrisburg would dictate where the drilling happens and what impact fees get paid, among other things. Be advised that this legislation affects all boroughs, not just those outside the city and suburban areas.

All SWPA municipality officials and concerned residents are welcome to attend. Over 30 municipalities from 6 counties (and counting) will be attending. What about Forest Hills and Regent Square areas? Stand up for clean air and water, folks: Ask your local municipal elected officials to get to this meeting. Forest Hills: http://www.foresthillspa.org/fhpa-govt%20elected%20officials.html. Edgewood:http://www.edgewood.pgh.pa.us/edgewood-govt-council.htm. Wilkinsburg: http://www.wilkinsburgpa.gov/government/Council_Profiles.aspx.

Call or e-mail to  RSVP.
