Man Charged After Armed Robbery in Edgewood

An 18-year-old is facing charges after being accused of robbing two people at gunpoint in Edgewood.

An 18-year-old is facing charges after being accused of robbing two people at gunpoint in Edgewood.

Kamaron Gerald Taylor Jr. of Wilkinsburg has been charged with theft, two counts of robbery, two counts of recklessly endangering another person and two counts of terroristic threats after the May 24 incident.

According to Edgewood police, two people reportedly were confronted and robbed at gunpoint by Taylor at the intersection of Locust and Hawthorne streets.

Police Chief Robert Payne said no one was injured, and Taylor was arrested after several police departments conducted a search in the area.

His preliminary hearing has been scheduled before Wilkinsburg District Judge Kim Hoots on June 27 at 8:30 a.m.
