News Nearby: Food and Beer Tasting Thursday

 and Full Pint Brewing Company are pairing up for a food and beer tasting at Albert’s Lounge in Dormont on Thursday night.

Brandon Sachs of Sugar Café said the idea for the event grew from a conversation between the restaurant and brewery at the Taste of Dormont event in October.

“Full Pint was there, and got to talking and thought it would be a good idea,” Sachs said. “Actually we’re hoping to use a couple of Full Pint’s products here for the month of February.”

Sachs said Sugar Café is hoping to use a coffee porter stout produced by North Versailles-based Full Pint in some of its breads and cakes. Thursday’s event, however, will give a taste of what both businesses have to offer.

The event is open to the public. Tickets are $25 at the door, and the cost includes four appetizers, four courses and four beers.
