Oktoberfest!
Celebrate the arrival of fall with Juniper Village Forest Hills' Oktoberfest celebration at 5 p.m. Oct. 4. Participants will enjoy an authentic German dinner and dance to the sounds of local German music trio, Autobahn. The cost is $10 a person with all proceeds going to support the Greater PA chapter of the National Alzheimers Association. For more information or to RSVP, contact Juniper Village at 412-244-9901. Seniors for Safe Driving Courses
Seniors for Safe Driving courses will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 9 and 10. This two-day seminar is designed for drivers over the age of 55 who want to improve their driver safety and receive a 5-percent discount on their automobile insurance premium for three years after taking the course. Caregiver Support Group Meeting
Caring for a loved one with memory loss? Gain support and education with monthly caregiver support group meetings. On Oct. 10 at 1:30 p.m., the discussion will be about behaviors, redirection therapy and therapeutic fibbing. Juniper Village's monthly support group meetings are approved by the Greater Pennsylvania Chapter of the Alzheimers Association and are affiliated with the National Alzheimers Association.
