Host an International Exchange Student with CIEE

CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange) is seeking host families for international high school exchange students for the 2015-2016 school year. Our students come to the U.S. from over 55 different countries and spend 5 or 10 months studying at an American school, living with an American family, and immersing themselves in an exciting and rewarding cultural experience.

Olga from Spain is looking forward to a life-changing experience:

Hello my name is Olga. I am a cheerful and positive person, very shy, although really sociable when you get to know me. I live in a small neighborhood with my parents and my elder sister. I love music and play the piano and the guitar. My favorite sport is tennis but I also love playing paddle, basketball and swimming. I like going out with my friends and family in my free time. I love going the cinema and also to the mall with my friends. I love animals, although I don´t have any pet because we live in a flat in the city. I also like cooking and would love to teach my host family how to make some Spanish dishes.

Our students will arrive in August, and our team of local coordinators is working hard to find families in the Pittsburgh area who will welcome one of these young ambassadors into their home and family. CIEE accepts all types of families (kids, no kids, empty nesters, etc.) All that is required of our families is to provide a bed for the student and an extra plate at the table.
