Power Outages Reported In Forest Hills, Edgewood

Several residents in Forest Hills, Edgewood and Wilkinsburg are without power. 

A string of strong thunderstorms swept through the area just after 4 p.m. Tuesday

According to Duquesne Light, 300 customers in Forest Hills, 50 in Edgewood and 200 in Wilkinsburg were without power as of 9:30 p.m. 

According to Duquesne Light, 900 customers in the ZIP code are without power as of 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Approximately 3,900 customers are out of service after the afternoon's violent thunderstorms blew through the area with wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour.  

Crews expect the majority of customers to be back in service Tuesday into Wednesday or Wednesday morning.
