The Organ Artists Series (OAS) of Pittsburgh will present renowned organist Barbara Bruns in concert at 4 p.m., on Sunday, March 22, at St. Paul Cathedral in Oakland. The concert will be co-presented with the Saint Paul Cathedral Concert Series.

Born and raised in Japan, Ms. Bruns has been playing organ for church services since the age of 13, and currently serves as minister of music at the Parish of Christ Church in Andover, Massachusetts. An accomplished recitalist, accompanist, and conductor, Ms. Bruns has concertized extensively throughout the U.S., Europe, and Japan.

Ms. Bruns is slated to perform select works by Johann Sebastian Bach on the landmark Rudolf von Bekerath organ at St. Paul Cathedral. Originally built in 1962 and recently restored, the mighty instrument speaks through 5,010 pipes that provide the sound and architectural style of great European organs.
