Thriftique, operated by the National Council of Jewish Women, Pittsburgh Section, has a fun-filled day planned for shoppers on Saturday, August 17th in celebration of National Thrift Shop Day.Â
In appreciation of their customers, whose purchases support NCJW's community service programs, Thriftique will serve free hot dogs and treats, run games of "Thrift Store Bingo" with big prizes for the winners, give away fun and valuable door prizes, and slash prices on merchandise from 9:00am to 4:00pm.Â
Thriftique staff will serve free hot dogs, chips, and other summer treats from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Visitors can participate in a game of "Thrift Store Bingo," which will have them searching for zany thrift shop items like a "Fiddler on the Roof" and a "Tiny Sombrero" hidden throughout the store. Games will begin at 10:00am, 12:00pm, and 2:00pm, and winners will receive Thriftique gift certificates valued at up to $50.00. Visitors will have the opportunity to enter to win fabulous door prizes. Shoppers will also save big on their purchases all day, with all merchandise in the store on sale at 50% off the original price.
