Yet, there must be somebody there. It still shows up in the in-box every morning with a fresh cargo of maps & apps stories plus links to legitimate news organizations about things that are not germane to the neighborhood.
Presumably, there's a human somewhere in the apparatus who sells all those ads that appear in the margins of the site.
Patch debuted here just about three years ago, was a legitimate journalistic product and a factor in the community for the first two of those years, and now seems to have run its course.
