2 Dead In Southampton Fire; Police Investigating As Homicide

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA — Two people are dead following a house fire near Shippensburg on Wednesday, and Pennsylvania State Police are now investigating the fire as a homicide, according to a report.

The fire happened at a home on 100 block of Neil Road, ABC 27 reported. A Cumberland County spokesperson told the station that firefighters were called to a basement fire at the address and when they arrived four minutes later, the entire house was in flames.

The fire caused extensive damage to the home, according to ABC 27.

State fire marshals are investigating. A Pennsylvania State Police spokesperson told the station more information will likely be released Thursday.
