3. Man sentenced to 21 months in prison for fraudulent loan application for over $700,000 (local21news.com) — A man has been sentenced after federal authorities said he used falsified bank statements to secure a large residential loan from a Harrisburg financial institution. Investigators reported that the altered documents inflated balances by hundreds of thousands of dollars before the fraud was uncovered in an internal audit.
   

4. Man in custody for sexual assault charges face potential deportation: police (local21news.com) — Police say a woman reported being sexually assaulted after meeting a man at a Harrisburg bar and later being attacked in a nearby parking lot in Camp Hill. The suspect is jailed on $1 million bail, facing multiple serious charges and possible deportation while awaiting a preliminary hearing.
   

5. Pennsylvania Has Most Teacher Preparation Programs Accredited by the International Dyslexia Association in the Nation (pa.gov) — From Harrisburg, state education officials announced that Pennsylvania now leads the nation with nine teacher preparation programs accredited by the International Dyslexia Association, boosting training in structured literacy.
