Police on scene of incident after Jeep crashes into Harrisburg home (abc27.com) ā Police and state troopers responded Monday evening after a Jeep crashed into the porch of a Harrisburg home on Alricks Street, near the abc27 station. One man was seen in handcuffs and Mayor Wanda Williams visited the scene, but investigators have not yet released details on injuries or the extent of damage. State police are leading the ongoing investigation.

2. Police chase vehicle through Harrisburg neighborhoods (local21news.com) ā Multiple Harrisburg and state police cruisers were seen chasing a dark SUV through several Harrisburg streets Monday evening, including Division Street and the area around Camp Curtin Academy. The pursuit began near 7th and Emerald around 7:10 p.m. and ended about ten minutes later. Authorities have not yet said why the chase started or whether anyone was injured.

State lawmakers honor those lost in 9/11 attacks with new exhibit in Harrisburg (fox43.com) ā A new 9/11 exhibit is now open in the East Wing Rotunda of the Capitol Complex in Harrisburg, featuring Flight 93 wreckage and tributes from victims' families. Open weekdays through Oct. 27, it highlights how Pennsylvanians helped respond in rural Shanksville and invites local visitors to reflect on the attacks' legacy.

4. PennDOT announces 2026-27 'Young Ambassadors,' including 5 from Midstate (abc27.com) ā PennDOT, based in Harrisburg, has named 30 students to its 2026ā27 Young Ambassadors program, including five from South Central Pennsylvania schools like Cumberland Valley and Halifax. These teens will get training on litter prevention, recycling, and civic engagement, plus chances for job shadowing and scholarships. The program aims to help young leaders keep their communities cleaner and more beautiful.
