Harrisburg woman transforms empty apartments into homes for families in need (wgal.com) — A Harrisburg retiree is quietly transforming the lives of local families experiencing homelessness by turning empty apartments into fully furnished homes through Brethren Housing Association. With help from nearly 70 volunteers and a local moving crew, she's outfitted more than 50 units so families in Harrisburg not only get housing, but move into warm, stocked homes they can eventually take with them.
   

2. 35 people from 11 countries become US citizens in Harrisburg ceremony (fox43.com) — Newly minted Americans took their oath of citizenship Friday at Widener University Commonwealth Law School in Harrisburg, with 35 people from 11 countries completing a long naturalization journey. Family and friends packed the Douglas M. Wolfberg Courtroom as federal judges led the ceremony, turning a routine legal step into a meaningful community milestone for Harrisburg's newest neighbors.
   

3. Neighbors ask judge to halt PAX-1 data center work in Cumberland County (wgal.com) — Neighbors in Middlesex Township, just west of Harrisburg, are asking a Cumberland County judge to halt construction of the massive $15 billion PAX-1 data center project while they challenge its zoning. They argue the data center overlay was illegally placed on land originally intended for homes and farmland, while developers insist they followed all legal requirements. The judge has not yet set a decision timeline.
   

4. Ed Sheeran concert comes to Philly amidst freedom of speech controversy (local21news.com) — As Ed Sheeran's tour heads to Philadelphia amid controversy over Macklemore's pro-Palestinian remarks, CBS 21 asked people around Harrisburg whether politics belong on stage. Locals shared sharply different views on artists' responsibility to speak out, free speech limits at private venues, and whether political statements at concerts would make them walk out or listen more closely.
   

5. UPMC settles fight with Trump Administration over gender care for minors (pennlive.com) — UPMC has agreed to a federal settlement that bars its hospitals, including those serving Harrisburg, from providing puberty blockers, hormones, or related surgeries to transgender patients under 19 for the next decade. The deal ends a Justice Department investigation in exchange for a $950,000 penalty and non-prosecution guarantees, leaving questions about what counseling or support services will remain available for affected youth and families.
