Lower Paxton Township is thrilled to unveil a Storywalk® at Stray Winds Park on Monday, March 23 from 5:00pm - 6:30pm. A StoryWalk® is a fun, educational activity that enables children to enjoy reading and the outdoors with their families. Join us for our ribbon cutting ceremony, experience an interactive storybook, and make a craft. Our featured story for spring is Sun Above Blooms Below: A Springtime of Opposites by Felicia Sanzari Chernesky, Illustrated by Susan Swan. Thank you to our project partners: Lower Paxton Arts Council, Dauphin County Technical School, and The Dauphin County Library System.

Kiddie Academy of Harrisburg will host Hero Play Day on Saturday, July 11 at 2 p.m. for infants to 12-year-olds. Families are invited to attend this free community event designed to help children recognize and celebrate their personal heroes.

The new hands-on event will be an opportunity for children to dress up as their favorite superhero and participate in “training” stations set up around the Academy, including obstacle courses, strength tests and kindness missions.

Refreshments will be provided.
