Campers Present Donation to Lancaster County Reach Out and Read

Summer Campers at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool presented a $225 check and more than 50 books to a representative from the organization

On Aug. 21, summer campers at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool on Harrisburg Pike in Lancaster presented more than 50 books and a check for $225 to a representative from Lancaster County Reach Out and Read, a local nonprofit that gives young children a foundation for success by incorporating books into pediatric care and encouraging families to read aloud together. Throughout the summer, campers hosted a donation drive to collect books for the organization. Campers also collected monetary donations to help purchase additional books for children who benefit from the program. Through this initiative, campers learned the importance of helping children in their community.
