Chesterbrook Academy in Lancaster Creates Gifts for Camp Sunshine
Students at Chesterbrook Academy preschool made bracelets, cards, artwork and puzzles for children with life-threatening illnesses
Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool on Estelle Drive in Lancaster recently handmade cards and gifts for Camp Sunshine, an organization that provides a retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Over the past two weeks, students created cards that include positive messages and allowed them to “send hugs,” as well as made bracelets, artwork and puzzles for children who attend Camp Sunshine. In addition to the homemade gifts, Chesterbrook Academy also donated $100 to the organization. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of spreading kindness and supporting children in their community.
