$1.4M Water Main Project Underway In Haverford
Aqua Pennsylvania crews are working to replace thousands of feet of aging water mains on eight roads in Haverford Township.
HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Aqua is working to replace more than 5,000 feet of water main in Haverford Township.
A $1.4 million water main replacement project is underway on numerous street in the township.
Crews are replacing 5,369 feet of old 6-inch water mains with new 6- and 8-inch ductile iron water mains.

Work is taking place on the following roads:
- Rising Sun Road between Ardmore Avenue and Malvern Road
- Belmont Road between Ardmore Avenue and Pont Reading Road
- Cricket Avenue between Belmont and #679 Cricket avenues
- Hazelwood Road between Belmont Avenue and Rising Sun Road
- Aubrey Avenue between Belmont Avenue and Morris Road
- Woodcrest Avenue between Belmont and #658 Woodcrest avenues
- Pont Reading Road between Belmont Avenue and Oakford Road
- St. Mary’s Road between Oakford Road and #2704 St. Mary’s Road
Aqua’s work is expected to be completed in February 2023 weather permitting.

Final road restoration is expected to be completed in the spring 2023.
The new water main will reduce the potential for main breaks and discolored water and improve water flow in the area.
