$1.6M Raised For Nonprofits During 1st Delco Gives Day
The Foundation for Delaware County said the money came from more than 9,200 gifts to various nonprofits in the county.
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — The first-ever Delco Gives day raised a more than a-million-and-half dollars for local nonprofits, officials said.
According to the Foundation for Delaware County, the inaugural event led to more than $1.6 million in gifts being donated to various Delco non-profit groups.
From Wednesday to Thursday, more than 9,200 gifts were made to the numerous organizations that provide critical services and resources for the Delaware County community.

Delco Gives was made possible by numerous local businesses who sponsored the initiative, the foundation said.
"The Foundation is grateful to the generous Delco Gives sponsors who stepped up and to the nonprofits who provide critical services and resources for the Delaware County community," the foundation said in a statement Friday. "Delco Gives was a great opportunity to provide greater visibility to the nonprofits doing amazing work in our area."
