Police said the driver did not comply with their attempted carjacking, which led Rosado to spray the victim in the face with mace.

The incident was captured on the victim's dashboard camera, which led police to get a description of the suspects.

Police searched the area and found Jones and Rosado crouched down behind a shed at a nearby residence.

They were taken into custody, charged with attempted robbery, assault, and related offenses.

Jones has a criminal history in Delaware County dating back to 2009, when he pleaded guilty to illegal drug possession.

He also pleaded guilty to DUI, disorderly conduct, and driving without a license, according to court documents.

Rosado pleaded guilty to retail theft in 2018, court records show.

Both were held after failing to post 10 percent of $100,000 bail.
