2022 Haverford Budget Passes With No Tax Increase

The Haverford Township Board of Commissioners recently voted to approve the 2022 budget, with no new real estate taxes in the budget.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — The 2022 Haverford Township budget was recently passed by the township's Board of Commissioners.

Commissioners passed the 2022 budget during their regular meeting on Monday, Dec. 13.

The passing of the new budget means property owners will not see a real estate tax increase.

For 2022, the real estate tax rate will remain at 4.218 mills.

That rate accounts for 17 percent of the tax bill residents in the township will face.

However, the new budget does feature a $.10 sewer rent increase to $4.65 per 1,000 gallons of water used, and a $30 increase to the annual trash/recycling fee to $275 as a result of a tipping fee increase from the Delaware County Solid Waste Authority, up from $58 to $78 per ton.

General fund revenues and expenditures in the budget stand at $47,253,567 each.
