488 Bags Of Heroin Seized In Delco Man's Second Arrest In Two Months

A Delaware County man was recently charged for a second time in two months with drug crimes after a simple traffic stop on Feb. 23, which led police to find more than 488 bags of heroin, according to police and court records.
Blake V. Kolumber, 29, of Upper Darby, was charged on Feb. 23 with two counts of felony manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance; two counts of possession of a controlled substance; two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia; and two summary traffic charges, court records show.
But back in January, Kolumber was charged with four counts of felony manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance; four counts of possession of a controlled substance; and four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show.

Kolumber was remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $50,000 bail after being arraigned Feb. 24, according to court records.
Kolumber was stopped on Feb. 23 when police noticed a headlight was out on the vehicle he was driving.

Upper Darby Police told the Delaware County Daily Times officers saw Kolumber put something in his sock, which then led to a search that yielded 27 bags of heroin.
Police then obtained a search warrant for Kolumber's home, which led authorities to find 488 bags of heroin, according to Upper Darby Police Chief Michael Chitwood.
Kolumber's first set of charges came after he allegedly sold heroin to undercover police in January, the outlet reports.
Court records show he was released on Jan. 25 after posting 10 percent of $100,000 bail.
Kolumber is set to appear before Judge Nicholas S. Lippincott on March 9 for his preliminary hearing for his most recent charges, according to court documents.
