A Nice Addition For Haverford High Football

Dylan Hewitt looks to build on career best weekend.

Dylan Hewitt received sporadic time as a junior last season for the Fords. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound slot back had been waiting to show what he could do his senior year. Last Friday night against Ridley, he did. Hewitt caught seven passes for more than 150 yards in receptions in the .  

Hewitt only got three touches in North. That should change with Dylan Hewitt received sporadic time as a junior this season. With his career-best performance against Ridley, that should change. 

“I think we could be really, really good, and I thought we beat Ridley in every way, except the scoreboard,” Hewitt said. “Hopefully, things get better from here. The opener, we only threw the ball three times. The mindset against Ridley was to spread the field out more, and after the way we moved the ball against Ridley, I would hope we’ll do that more often this year.”

Hewitt transfered from the his junior year. He arrived at in the middle of the season.

“I didn’t know the plays, and it was kind of crazy,” Hewitt said. “I put time into this season. I was hoping to have a greater role, and I’m not coming off the field. It’s been real exciting so far.”

Haverford will be hosting Lower Merion this Friday at 7 p.m. to open its new refurbished athletic complex.
