Amazon Driver Pleads Guilty In Delco Road Rage Shooting

The former Amazon driver charged with shooting another driver in 2022 has pleaded guilty to one of the charges against him.

CLIFTON HEIGHTS, PA — A former Amazon driver who was charged with attempted murder and other crimes in a 2022 road rage shooting in Delaware County has pleaded guilty to one of the charges against him.

Philadelphia resident Anthony Jones was accused of shooting another man in the stomach after they were both involved in a minor motor vehicle crash, while Jones was driving an Amazon delivery truck. The shooting took place in the Primos neighborhood of Clifton Heights on Feb. 27, 2022.

Court records show that Jones, 38, pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated assault in Delaware Common Pleas Court on Monday in exchange for having other charges dismissed. Sentencing will be scheduled at a later date.
