HAVERTOWN, PA — The nation's 250th birthday has passed, but Delaware County still has a major semiquincentennial celebration coming up.
The Illumination 250 Festival will feature a free day of family fun in Haverford Township, finishing with a choreographed 200-drone light show.
Festivities will also include live music, food trucks, local vendors, a craft village, historical characters and children's activities.
The event is set for noon to 9 p.m. Aug. 29 at the Haverford High School Football Stadium. Here's the event page.
