Bees and Yellow Jackets Swarm Field
The calendar says it's time for softball, no matter what the temperature says.
The Yellow Jackets and Bees were out in full force at Hilltop Field Tuesday evening on the field at Hilltop Park.
The 7 and 8-year-old softball players were keeping active and warmer than their parents who shivered on the sidelines, some wrapped in blankets, in the 45-degree twilight.
The two teams are part of the Haverford Township Hilltop Baseball, Softball and Challenger League which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
