Haverford is one of those townships that has something for everyone: distinct neighborhoods, great public and private schools, classic institutions, and a growing local food scene. There are wonderful houses for first-time buyers, classic homes for move-up buyers, and luxury properties that provide fabulous living minutes from downtown Philadelphia.
Today I want to talk about great neighborhoods for first time home buyers. The typical "starter" home in Haverford is 3-4 bedrooms and is priced in the mid-$200's to lower $300's. Now, I've known homeowners in Haverford who've been living in their starter home since the 1960's, so your starter home may turn out to be a home for life- that's the quality of Haverford living!
The neighborhoods that best fit this criteria are, in no particular order:
-Chatham Park
-Manoa
-Bon Air
-Westgate Hills
-Paddock Farms
Haverford folks, do you have any other neighborhoods to recommend? What is your favorite neighborhood?
And if you're a buyer interested in learning more about these neighborhoods, give me a call! I'm happy to help.
