Blind 75 Year Old Beaten, Robbed In Delaware County: Police

The attack happened in the middle of the day on Sunday, Nov. 26. Police said the victim may be permanently injured after the attack.

UPPER DARBY, PA – A blind 75-year-old man was attacked and robbed in broad daylight on Sunday, Nov. 26 in Upper Darby, according to police.

Upper Darby Police said the crime occurred at about 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 26 on the unit block of Glendale Road.

Police said the victim, who is legally blind, was taken to a hospital for treatment after he was attacked. Police believe he suffered a femur fracture.

"One of our seniors has been seriously injured, perhaps forever," Upper Darby Police Chief Michael Chitwood said in Twitter.
