No Threat Found After Bomb Scare At Delco High School
A phoned-in bomb threat to Haverford High School Wednesday was deemed to be a hoax after the school was evacuated and searched by police.
HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — A bomb threat closed Haverford High School Wednesday, and investigators said the threat was not credible.
According to the School District of Haverford Township, a bomb threat was called in to the high school shortly after the building opened Wednesday. Officials notified the community of the threat at about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday via email.
Haverford Township Police were at the school within a minute and evacuated and closed the building. Those inside the school were taken to Haverford Middle School before being dismissed for the day.

No threat was found at the school after officers from Haverford and other police departments, including multiple K-9 units, cleared the building room by room.
"We are grateful for the support provided by the Haverford Township Police Department," the district said. "We are also very proud of the high school and the middle school administration, staff, and students for their cooperation and professionalism this morning."

Officials said all district buildings will have an increased police presence as a result of the threat.
District schools will be open and operating on a regular daily schedule Thursday, according to officials.
Additional counselors are being made available at the high school Thursday, as well.
