Burglaries, Stolen Vehicle, Assault, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued the latest crime blotter recently.

The blotter includes incidents that occurred between Dec. 6 and Dec. 12, as well as arrests made and citations issues.

INCIDENTS

• Criminal Mischief at the 1000 block of Darby Road on Dec. 6 at 6:01 p.m. – Victim reported dents on the front bumper, both passenger side doors and the rear taillight of his vehicle.
• Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Dec. 6 at 5:05 p.m. – An unknown male and female stole Sephora products and fled the store.
• Theft at Panera Bread, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Dec. 7 at 2:53 p.m. – Victim reported that her purse was stolen from the windowsill while she ate.
• Theft at the 2000 block of E. County Line Road on Dec. 7 at 8:20 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – sneakers and a wallet was stolen.
• Theft at the 600 block of Kenilworth Road on Dec. 7 at 2:43 p.m. – Vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
• Theft at the 600 block of Kenilworth Road on Dec. 7 at 3:20 p.m. – Vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
• Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Dec. 7 at 9:40 a.m. – Two unknown females stole $1,740 worth of Sephora products.
• Burglary at Exxon, 2400 block of Haverford Road, on Dec. 8 at 7:15 a.m. – Forced entry was gained by smashing the front door. Cigarettes, lighters, Slim Jims and the cash register containing $200 was stolen. 48-year-old male was arrested.
• Motor Vehicle Theft at the 200 block of James Drive on Dec. 9 at 4:46 p.m.
• Attempted Theft at the 600 block of Wynnewood Road on Dec. 9 at 12:48 p.m. - Unlocked Vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
• Attempted Theft at the 200 block of Belfield Avenue on Dec. 9 at 12:14 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
• Theft at the 100 block of James Drive on Dec. 9 at 11:40 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered - a driver’s license and debit card were stolen. $62.40 worth of unauthorized purchases were made with the card.
• Attempted Theft at the 200 block of Belfield Avenue on Dec. 9 at noon – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
• Burglary at Finnaren & Haley Paints, 2300 block of Haverford Road, on Dec. 10 at 6:59 p.m. – Police responded to the above location for the audible burglar alarm. Police observed items that were thrown from the counter and wet footprints in front of the cash register. Police observed the actor run from the rear of the train station. The subject refused to obey verbal commands. Eventually the subject did comply and was taken into custody. A 48-year-old male was arrested.
• Criminal Mischief at the 200 block of David Drive on Dec. 10 at 11:47 a.m. – Vehicle rear windshield was pushed in.
• Burglary at U-Haul, unit block of Township Line Road, on Dec. 11 at 8:39 a.m. – The front window to the business was smashed. Three sets of keys and a vehicle were stolen.
• Theft at the unit block of Myrtle Avenue on Dec. 11 at 3:13 p.m. – I-phone and laptop were reported missing from the residence.
• Attempted Theft at the unit block of Fulmer Avenue on Dec. 12 at 9:12 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
• Attempted Theft at the 300 block of Stanley Avenue on Dec. 12 at 6:47 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
• Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Dec. 12 at 1:08 p.m. – An unknown male stole $75 worth of groceries.

ARRESTS

• 48-year-old male, 6400 block of Broad Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and criminal mischief. Location: Exxon, 2400 block of Haverford Road, and Finnaren & Haley Paints, 2300 block of Haverford Road. Date: Dec. 8 and Dec. 10.
• 35-year-old female, 5700 block of Larchwood Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and possession of an instrument of crime. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Dec. 12 at 1:35 p.m.
• 32-year-old male, 2400 block of Clifford Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, harassment, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: Sunoco, 400 block of E. Township Line Road. Date: Dec. 12 at 5:05 p.m.
