Burglary, Fraud, Theft, Drugs, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

Haverford Township Police said $6,000 and checkbooks were stolen from a home on Waterview Lane that was burglarized recently.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter Wednesday.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between April 10 and April 16.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

  • Fraud at the 1900 block of West Chester Pike on April 10 at 1:34 p.m. – Victim received a text message from an unknown number that solicited her to invest in a hotel. The victim followed all instructions and lost approximately $30,000.
  • Burglary at the 100 block of Waterview Lane on April 11 at 1:51 p.m. – Forced entry was gained by smashing a rear glass door. $6,000 and checkbooks were stolen.
  • Criminal Mischief at Marvin Kanze Plumbing and Heating, 1300 block of Lawrence Road) on April 11 at 5:20 p.m. – Graffiti was discovered.
  • Criminal Mischief at Ardmore Avenue and County Line Road on April 12 at 4:10 p.m. – Victim reported a group of juveniles were throwing rocks at vehicles.
  • Fraud at the 1300 block of Steel Road on April 12 at 4:11 p.m. – An unknown actor accessed the victim’s Amazon account and made a $581.93 purchase.
  • Theft at the Haverford Middle School, 1700 block of Darby Road, on April 12 at 3:21 p.m. – Victim reported that his electric scooter was stolen.
  • Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on April 12 at 8:03 p.m. – An unknown female stole $1,884.99 worth of merchandise.
  • Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on April 12 at 1:44 p.m. – An unknown male stole $167.96 of merchandise.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 100 block of Ralston Avenue on April 14 at 8:10 a.m. – Residence was egged.
  • Theft at the Quadrangle, 3300 block of Darby Road, on April 15 at 7:56 p.m. – Victim reported three necklaces valued at $25 each were stolen. She also stated that a step stool, drinking glasses and a coffee warmer were taken
  • Disorderly Conduct at the 100 block of N. Eagle Road on April 16 at 7:25 a.m. – 30-year-old male, 500 block of Washington Avenue, and 50-year-old male, unit block of South Eagle Road, were cited for disorderly conduct.
  • Disorderly Conduct at the 1200 block of Ellston Road on April 16 at 6:28 p.m. – 55-year-old male, 1200 block of Ellston Road, was cited for disorderly conduct.
  • Theft at TD Bank, 100 block of N. Eagle Road, on April 16 at 12:41 p.m. – Victim reported that someone gained access to her bank account and withdrew $6,875.
  • Retail Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on April 16 at 2:33 p.m. – An unknown male stole a bag of unpaid groceries and a container of Tide Pods.
  • Retail Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on April 16 at 1:37 p.m. – Two unknown females stole two bags filled with groceries and two Gain laundry detergents. Location 1010 Darby Road.

ARRESTS

  • 47-year-old male, 500 block of Vernon Road, Springfield. Charges: Retail theft, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: April 10 at 1:05 p.m.
