HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter recently.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between July 12 and July 18.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

  • Fraud at the unit block of Joann Circle on July 12 at 4:24 p.m. – Victim reported that he purchased two $100.00 Apple gift cards from Target in Maryland. When he attempted to use the gift cards, they showed a zero balance.
  • Theft at the 1300 block of Harrington Road on July 13 at 5:35 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered - $10.75 was taken from the center console.
  • Fraud at the 200 block of Sagamore Road on July 13 at 8:33 a.m. – Victim reported that he was scammed out of $18,000. He received a message on his computer that he was locked out and was provided a phone number to regain access. He was told to make a cash withdrawal and deposit into a cryptocurrency account.
  • Liquor Law Violation at the unit block of W. Manoa Road on July 13 at 11:22 p.m. – Two juveniles were cited for underage drinking.
  • Theft at the 900 block of Railroad Avenue on July 15 at 10:01 a.m. – The supervisor reported that narcotics were missing from a locked narcotic box.
  • Burglary at the Haverford Middle School, 1700 block of E. Darby Road, on July 16 at 9:33 p.m. – A group of juveniles entered the school and threw eggs in a classroom, hall and water fountain. The eggs were leftover from the egg drop
  • project.
  • Theft at the unit block of Bennington Road on July 16 at 7:01 p.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
  • Theft at the 200 block of Pine Ridge Road on July 17 at 5:32 p.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
  • Retail Theft at Rite Aid, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on July 18 at 11:36 a.m. – An employee reported that an unknown male stole approximately $400 worth of over-the-counter medication.
  • Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on July 18 at 1:34 p.m. – An unknown male and female stole $570.50 worth of merchandise.
  • Theft at the 400 block of Twin Oaks Drive on July 18 at 8:46 a.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
  • Identity Theft at the 300 block of Kathmere Road on July 18 at 2:30 p.m. – The victim reported that someone used his identity to open a credit card account.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 300 block of Canterbury Road on July 18 at 7:38 a.m. – 48-year-old male, 300 block of Canterbury Lane was cited for criminal mischief.
  • Vandalism at Llanerch Country Club, 900 block of West Chester Pike, on July 18 at 12:10 p.m. – A group of juveniles were observed entering the course and joyriding golf carts. Damage to the greens and tees were reported.

ARRESTS

  • 49-year-old male, 1600 block of Conestoga Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft, possession of a controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia. Location: Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: July 16 at 12:12 p.m.
  • 25-year-old female, 5300 block of Addison Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: July 17 at 6:24 p.m.
