Burglary, Theft, Fraud, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

Police reported burglaries at properties on the 1200 block of West Chester Pike and the 2000 block of West Chester Pike over the past week.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued the newest crime blotter recently.

The blotter features incidents that occurred between Nov. 22 and Nov. 28.

INCIDENTS

  • Burglary - On Nov. 22 at 3:31 p.m., a burglary took place at the 1200 block of West Chester Pike. The perpetrator gained access through an unlocked door, and proceeded to steal two power drills and a pressure washer.
  • Fraud - at the 1900 block of Lawrence Road on Nov. 22 at 9:29 a.m. – The victim reported that someone gained access to his Apple account and changed the password and phone number on the account.
  • Identity Theft at the unit block of Kathleen Court on Nov. 23 at 9:16 a.m. – The victim reported that someone used her identity to open a Visa account and make a $470 purchase.
  • Theft at the 200 block of West Chester Pike on Nov. 24 at 9:24 a.m. – The victim reported that someone stole her wallet from his backpack while she was getting off the bus.
  • Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Nov. 24 at 3:07 p.m. – The victim reported that her wallet was stolen from her shopping cart while she left it unattended.
  • Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Nov. 24 at 9:15 a.m. – An 18-year-old male, 200 block of Guilford Road, Upper Darby was cited for the retail theft of $89.99 worth of merchandise.
  • Disorderly Conduct at Veterans Field, 1000 block of Darby Road, on Nov. 25 at 8:57 p.m. – Juveniles were cited for disorderly conduct and park–hours of operation.
  • Fraud at the 300 block of Hathaway Lane on Nov. 25 at 9:50 a.m. – The victim was contacted by her friend on Facebook Messenger stating that if she needed financial assistance, she just claimed a substantial amount of money. She provided her with a photo of her driver’s license before she realized it was a scam.
  • Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Nov. 25 at 2:30 p.m. – An unidentified woman attempted to steal groceries valued at $738.13. The actor failed to scan the items at self-checkout. She left the stolen groceries when confronted.
  • Theft at the 100 block of Farwood Road on Nov. 27 at 7:01 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle entered and wallet stolen.
  • Retail Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Nov. 27 at 12:25 p.m. – A 53-year-old male, 2900 block of Kensington Avenue Philadelphia was cited for the retail theft of $137.74 worth of merchandise.
  • Burglary at Jahnle Eye Associates, 2000 block of West Chester Pike, on Nov. 28 at 11:45 a.m. – The front door was forcefully pried open, resulting in the theft of prescription glasses valued at $5,000.
  • Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Nov. 28 at 1:39 p.m. – An unknown male stole $750 worth of merchandise.
