Burglary, Vehicle Theft, Fraud, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — POlice in Haverford Township recently released three weeks' worth of crime blotter details.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between July 26 and Aug. 15.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

Incidents

• Fraud in the 300 block of Greenbriar Lane on July 26 at 2:25 p.m. – victim reports that an unknown person opened credit cards using her information.
• Identity Theft in the 1300 block of Harrington Road on July 26 at 4:33 p.m. – victim reports that an unknown person took out a home equity loan using her information; investigation ongoing.
• Public Drunkenness in the unit block of Glendale Road on July 26 at 10:08 p.m. – 32-year-old male, unit block of Kent Road, Upper Darby was cited.
• Retail Theft at ACME, 600 block of Lancaster Avenue, on July 27 at 3:27 p.m. – unknown person exited the store with a cartful of groceries; investigation ongoing.
• Fraud in the unit block of Ralston Avenue on July 27 at 7:07 p.m. – victim states that an unknown person gained access to her credit card making unauthorized purchases.
• Theft at Panera Bread, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on July 28 at 5:05 p.m. – unknown person took the victim’s wallet with credit cards out of her purse.
• Retail Theft at ACME, 1300 block of WCP, on July 29 at 3:43 p.m. – unknown person stole a bag full of groceries.
• Theft in the 800 block of Aubrey Avenue on July 29 at 3:02 p.m. – a package was taken from the residence.
• Vandalism at E. Darby and E. Eagle Roads on July 30 at 7:59 p.m. – victim states that his vehicle was keyed while parked.
• Fraud in the 1300 block of Edgewood Road on July 31 at 8:02 a.m. – victim’s bank account was comprised, money taken.
• Fraud in the 1300 block of Dermond Road on July 31 at 2:22 p.m. – victim’s identity was used for unemployment.
• Identity Theft in the 300 block of Glen Gary Drive on July 31 at 5:15 p.m. – victim states that an unknown person opened a credit card using her personal information.
• Motor Vehicle Theft at Hollow Run Apartments, 1900 block of West Chester Pike,, on Aug. 1 at 6:38 p.m. – victim’s car was stolen from the apartment complex; vehicle was left unlocked.
• Fraud in the 400 block of Glendale Road on Aug. 1 at 10:28 a.m. – victim’s debit card was compromised by an unknown person; unauthorized purchases made.
• Fraud at Dolan Appliances, 2500 block of Haverford Road, on Aug. 1 at 3:52 p.m. – victim states that his website was hacked; customers were scammed and money was taken.
• Fraud in the 700 block of Buck Lane on Aug. 1 at 4:18 p.m. – fraudulent purchases were made using the victims debit card.
• Criminal Mischief at Llanarch Country Club, 900 block of WCP, on Aug. 1 at 3:39 p.m. – juveniles gained access to the golf course on motorized scooters; turfed up the green around the 8th hole.
• Theft from Vehicle in the 1400 block of Delmont Avenue on Aug. 2 at 8:37 p.m. – victim states her phone was taken out of her vehicle parked in her driveway; phone contained ID and credit cards.
• Criminal Mischief at Haverford High School, 200 block of Mill Road, on Aug. 2 at 7:50 a.m. – graffiti was found on the roof of the high school. Theft in the unit block of Grove Place on Aug. 3 at 4:31 p.m. – checks were taken from a mailbox left outside by the victim.
• Fraud in the unit block of Barrister Court on Aug. 3 at 2:12 p.m. – victim’s paypal account was hacked.
• Victim was told to buy gifts cards; CVS intercepted, victim reported the fraud; investigation ongoing. Identity Theft in the 1900 block of Darby Road on Aug. 3 at 3:41 p.m. – victim’s debit card was compromised.
• Criminal Mischief in the unit block of Myrtle Avenue on Aug. 3 at 4:49 p.m. – victim’s lock on her garage was broken.
• Retail Theft at ACME, 1300 block of WCP, on Aug. 4 at 5:28 p.m. – unknown person walked out of the store failing to pay for groceries; investigation ongoing.
• Forgery in the 1800 block of Earlington Road on Aug. 4 at 11:42 a.m. – victim wrote a check for a small amount of money; the check was altered and cashed.
• Fraud in the unit block of E. Manoa Road on Aug. 4 at 6:54 p.m. – victim was scammed through a text message claiming to be amazon; money was lost.
• Theft at the ACME, 600 block of W. Lancaster Avenue, on Aug. 5 at 3:52 p.m. – victim’s wallet was taken from her purse while shopping; fraudulent purchases were attempted.
• Theft at Llanarch Country Club, 900 block of WCP, on Aug. 6 at 7:26 p.m. – window was smashed on the victim’s car; purse was taken.
• Burglary in the 200 block of E. Manoa Road on Aug. 7 at 9:36 p.m. – victim’s house was burglarized; cash and jewelry was taken; investigation ongoing.
• Motor Vehicle Theft in the 200 block of N. Eagle Road on Aug. 7 at 10:02 a.m. – victim’s motorcycle was taken from his driveway.
• Fraud in the unit block of Decatur Road on Aug. 8 at 2:41 p.m. – victim received an email that was a scam; numerous gift cards were purchased.
• Counterfeiting at Sam’s Pizza, 2600 block of E. County Line Road, on Aug. 9 at 11:58 a.m. – An unknown male passed a $100 counterfeit bill on an $18 tab.
• Fraud at the 100 block of E. Turnbull Avenue on Aug. 9 at 4:05 p.m. – Victim reported an unauthorized charge on his checking account. Identity Theft at the unit block of Harvard Road on Aug. 9 at 6:22 p.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a credit card account using her identity.
• Identity Theft at the unit block of E. Manoa Road on Aug. 10 at 5:52 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to file for unemployment benefits.
• Fraud at the 200 block of Cherry Lane on Aug. 11 at 9:06 a.m. – Victim reported that someone redeemed her credit of 14,000 airline miles.
• Identity Theft at the unit block of S. Manoa Road on Aug. 11 at noon – Victim reported that someone applied for unemployment benefits using her identity.
• Disorderly Conduct at Acme, 600 block of W. Lancaster Avenue, on Aug. 12 at 4:44 p.m. – 67-year-old male, 6200 block of Pennswood Road, Bryn Mawr was cited for disorderly conduct.
• Retail Theft at Rite Aid, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Aug. 13 at 11:09 a.m. – 30-year-old male, 200 block of Fairlamb Avenue was cited for the retail theft of $77.94 worth of merchandise.
• Criminal Mischief at the 700 block of Howard Avenue on Aug. 13 at 1:45 p.m. – Vehicle window was shattered.
• Public Drunkenness at the 1000 block of Darby Road on Aug. 13 at 11:15 p.m. – 24-year-old female, 400 block of Glendale Road was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
• Theft at the 700 block of Ardmore Avenue on Aug. 14 at 8:50 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered - $20 was stolen.
• Theft at the 700 block of Ardmore Avenue on Aug. 14 at 9:17 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered - $40 was stolen.
• Identity Theft at the 600 block of Country Club Lane on Aug. 15 at 4:03 p.m. – Victim reported that a Verizon account was opened using the victim’s identity.
• Trespassing at Acme, 600 block of Lancaster Avenue, on Aug. 15 at 12:33 p.m. – 67-year-old male, 6200 block of Pennswood Road, Bryn Mawr was cited for criminal trespass.

• 30-year-old male, 5200 block of N. Marshall Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Forgery, Access Device Fraud, Theft by Unlawful Taking, Evading Arrest on Foot. Location: TD Bank, 100 block of W. Eagle Road. Date: July 28 at 12:30 p.m.
• 38-year-old-male, 1900 block of Darby Road, Havertown. Charges: Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Arrest Prior to Requisition. Location: 1900 block of Darby Road. DATE: Aug. 1 at 5:36 p.m.
• 18-year-old male, 1400 block of 59th Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Access device altered, receiving stolen property and possession of marijuana. Location: TD Bank, 100 block of W. Eagle Road. Date: Aug. 9 at 10:57 a.m.
• 19-year-old female, 5800 block of Osage Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: Bad checks, forgery, receiving stolen property, access device is unauthorized by issuer. Location: Citizens Bank, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Aug. 10 at 2:26 p.m.
