Parishioners of St. George’s Episcopal Church are holding a drive-up food drive to benefit the Ardmore Food Pantry from 10AM - 2PM Saturday, June 13.
The collection of non-perishable foods will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church on the corner of Ardmore Avenue and Darby Road.
Recommended items include:
Full-size Personal items (any brand)
Shampoo/Conditioner, Body Wash, Hand Cream or Lotions, Bar soaps, Period products (preferably pads)
Baking & Packaged goods
Flour/Sugar (2 lb. bags allows AFP to provide items to more people)
Baking Ingredients (Baking soda, Salt, etc.)
Vegetable Oil, Vinegar, Salad Dressings (Any/all kinds)
Condiments (all kinds... BBQ, Hot Sauce, Mustard, Ketchup)
Pasta Sauce (Guests love Alfredo when it's available!)
Boxed Cereal (Any/All kinds)
Pets
Any brand of pet food
The horseshoe-shaped drive on Ardmore Avenue allows cars to pull up and stop under a covered area, where the food donations will be unloaded. Then they can continue to the exit onto the street so the driver doesn’t have to get out of the car.
St. George's is on the corner of Ardmore and Darby road in the vicinity of the Merion Golf Club.
