Car Theft, Forgery, Indecent Assault, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

Police said a 13-year-old was charged with indecent assault, harassment, and more in connection with an incident at Haverford Middle School.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter Wednesday.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between June 7 and June 13.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

  • Theft at the 100 block of Taylor Lane on June 7 at 5:55 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered. A wallet containing credit cards and a driver’s license was stolen. Multiple fraudulent purchases were attempted with the credit cards.
  • Fraud at the 1600 block of Ridgeway Road on June 7 at 3:44 p.m. – Victim reported that someone made an unauthorized purchase with her debit card.
  • Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on June 8 at 10 a.m. – An unknown male and female stole $1,372.95 worth of merchandise.
  • Theft at the 600 block of Kenilworth Road on June 8 at 11:32 a.m. – Victim reported that her credit card was stolen from her vehicle and five fraudulent purchases were attempted.
  • Identity Theft at the 300 block of Ardmore Avenue on June 8 at 4:30 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to attempt to open an AT&T account.
  • Forgery at the 200 block of Highland Lane on June 9 at 10:45 a.m. – Two checks were altered and cashed after they were mailed.
  • Identity Theft at the 200 block of Mill Road on June 9 at 12:25 p.m. – Victim reported that two Citizens Bank accounts were opened using her identity.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 1600 block of Hampton Road on June 9 at 9:54 p.m. – Approximately four juveniles were observed pulling a sign from the ground and dropping it in the street.
  • Vandalism at the 200 block of E. Benedict Avenue on June 9 at 1:17 p.m. – Siding was damaged. It appears to have been punched or hit with an unknown object.
  • Vandalism at the 1300 block of Darby Road on June 9 at 11:14 p.m. – Basement window was broken.
  • Attempted Theft at the 1500 block of Steel Road on June 13 at 6:32 a.m. – An unknown actor attempted to remove the brake light of a vehicle. Two plastic pieces and two screws for the brake light were observed on the rear bumper.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at the unit block of E. Langhorne Avenue on June 13 at 6:31 a.m.
  • Fraud at the 1400 block of Brierwood Road on June 13 at 12:48 p.m. – Victim received a phone call and was told that she won a cash prize and a car. She was advised that she would first have to send $1,800 in order to receive the prize. The victim immediately recognized the scam.
  • Identity Theft at the unit block of Fairfield Road on June 13 at 2:10 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to open a credit card account.

ARRESTS

  • 44-year-old female, 2000 block of Dauphin Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft and Possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: June 8 at 11:57 a.m.
  • 33-year-old female, 100 block of Linton Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: June 8 at 11:57 a.m.
  • 41-year-old male, 100 block of Coopertown Road, Haverford. Charges: DUI and careless driving. Location: Phillips 66, 700 block of Haverford Road. Date: June 10 at 3:13 a.m.
  • 13-year-old male was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Indecent assault, simple assault and harassment. Location: Haverford Middle School, 1700 block of Darby Road. Date: June 10, incident occurred on April 27.
