Change Orders Approved For Haverford MS Renovation Project

The change orders include seven cost increases and one credit.

The Haverford Township Board of School Directors unanimously approved a total of $100,776 worth of change orders for the Renovations Project.

One of the change orders that occured during the Thursday, Oct. 20, evening meeting is a $1,250 credit to the school district for a storm pipe inspection.

The other seven change orders are cost increases: $780 for removing signage around the building’s exterior, $6,419 to remove and replace concrete floor in the cafeteria, $9,210 for ground floor masonry repairs, and $9,975 for wall demolition in the ground floor corridor.

The other change orders with cost increases are: $21,002 to accelerate the renovation of six classrooms over the summer so that they would be completed before the school reopened in September, $25,634 to repair toilet room walls, and $29,006 to remove floor topping in the kitchen and cafeteria.

A representative from CB Development Services told the school board that the Middle School Renovation Project is scheduled to be completed in December, with the exception of the landscaping and courtyard which will be completed in the spring.
