Second Man Charged In Fatal Christmas Eve Delco Shooting

Delaware County authorities charged an 18-year-old Chester man with murder and related crimes in connection with a Christmas Eve shooting.

UPPER DARBY, PA — An 18-year-old Chester man is facing murder and related charges in connection with the fatal Christmas Eve shooting of a 20-year-old man in Upper Darby.

Delaware County authorities said Ramaj Poller, 18, of Chester, has been charged with first-, second-, and third-degree murder, as well as homicide, robbery, and firearm crimes.

Authorities accuse Poller of killing Samir Geiger, 20, on Dec. 24, 2019.

He is being held without bail at the George W. Hill Correctional Facility.

Poller's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 4, according to court records.

According to court records, Poller is also facing attempted murder and related charges stemming from an Aug. 17 incident in Chester

Another person, Jazmar Thomas, 19, of Chester, is also facing charges in connection with the Christmas Eve shooting. Thomas is scheduled for a pre-trial conference on Sept. 14, court records show.

More information on the arrest will be made available later Thursday, according to Delaware County officials.
