Several Unaccounted For After Fire, Shooting At Delco Home: DA
Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer said it's believed six to eight people are unaccounted for after the shooting and fire.
EAST LANDSDOWNE, PA — Two police officers were shot Wednesday during an incident at a home in East Landsdowne that ended with a massive fire at the same home, according to Delaware County officials.
Hours after the fire, authorities believe several people who may be residents of the home are unaccounted for.
District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer, at a news conference Wednesday night, said officers were called to a home at 58 Lewis St. in East Lansdowne for a report of an 11-year-old girl being shot at about 3:47 p.m.

Upper Darby Police officers helped the two injured officers away from danger.
Both officers are doing well and are with their families, Stollsteimer said. The officers' identities have not been released.
Action News reports one was shot in the arm and the other in the leg.
The home was then set ablaze by the shooter, according to the DA. It's unclear who is or was in the home when the fire broke out.
Stollsteimer at a news conference Wednesday said it's believed that six to eight people from the family who lived at the home are unaccounted for. That includes children and adults, he said.
"It is our terrible fear that they may be inside that house when it was burned," he said. "But we will not know until tomorrow morning."
Reports of the 11-year-old girl being shot have not been confirmed as of Wednesday evening.
Stollsteimer said details on who was in the home won't be gleaned until Thursday.
Multiple fire departments also responded to the address for a residential fire, dispatch records confirmed.
The fire is mostly out as of 7 p.m., and once the fire is fully extinguished, a comprehensive investigation will begin, Stollsteimer said.
