Child Dies After Being Accidentally Run Over In Delaware County
Authorities said a 1-year-old died after falling out of a vehicle, then being run over by that same vehicle in Upper Darby Tuesday.
UPPER DARBY, PA — A 1-year-old child died Tuesday in Delaware County after she fell out of a car and was then run over by the same vehicle.
According to Fox 29, the incident occurred at about 9 a.m. Tuesday on Springton Road in Upper Darby.
The child was unbuckled by an older sibling, causing the child to fall out of the vehicle

The Delaware County Daily Times reports the driver, the children's mother, got out of the vehicle to help the 1-year-old, but the vehicle was not in park.
Authorities said the vehicle continued forward, fatally running over the child.

The incident was ruled an accident and charges will not be filed, both outlets reports.
