HAVERFORD, PA –PennDOT announced recently water main work that will affect City Avenue in Haverford Township starting next week.According to PennDOT, Aqua PA is planning weekday lane restrictions on City Avenue between Grove Place and Rolling Road. The restrictions will be in place beginning Monday, June 19, and ending Friday, July 7. City Avenue will see the restrictions between from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for water main installation. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through this area. The work schedule is dependent on the weather.Image via Shutterstock

HAVERFORD, PA –PennDOT announced recently water main work that will affect City Avenue in Haverford Township starting next week.

Sarah Larsen, an award winning fiddler and educator, guides audiences through the life and recorded legacy of Kenny Baker. Highly regarded as the “Godfather of Bluegrass Fiddle”, Baker’s enduring career has influenced legions of fiddle players and delighted bluegrass fans for generations.
Tracing his early career through his tenure with Bill Monroe and the Blue Grass Boys and beyond, she will demonstrate Baker’s elegant “long-bow” style while highlighting some of his signature tunes.
2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the seminal album "Kenny Baker Plays Bill Monroe". Ms. Larsen will perform the album in its entirety. She is joined by Jim Pankey (banjo), Ryan Rogers (mandolin), Cory Chubb (guitar), and Rob Parks (bass).
