Closures To Impact Lancaster Ave Traffic Through Late September

PECO work will affect traffic in both Lower Merion and Haverford townships through late September. The work will begin Tuesday next week.

LOWER MERION-HAVERFORD, PA — Lancaster Avenue in Lower Merion and Haverford townships will have lane closures during the daytime next week and lasting through late September due to PECO work, PennDOT said.

According to PennDOT, single lane closures are planned on Lancaster Avenue starting Tuesday next week and lasting through Friday, Sept. 23.

Closures will be in effect weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The work schedule is:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 6, through Friday, Sept. 23, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Bryn Mawr Avenue and Pennswood Road in Lower Merion and Haverford;
  • Thursday, Sept. 8, through Friday, Sept. 23, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Pennswood Road and Lee Avenue in Haverford;
  • Thursday, Sept. 8, through Friday, Sept. 23, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Lee Avenue and Thomas Avenue in Lower Merion.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.
