Coronavirus Testing In Delaware County Canceled

Inclement weather led the county to cancel Monday's coronavirus testing. But testing is still available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.

UPLAND, PA — Inclement weather has canceled coronavirus testing in Delaware County Monday.

Delaware County officials said the coronavirus testing site in Upland will not be offering tests Monday due to the weather.

However, testing will still be available later in the week.

Residents can get tests from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday this week the US Army Reserve in Upland.

Coronavirus testing is available for individuals who live or work in Delaware County.

Both insured and uninsured residents can get tests, as long as they are 12 years or older and have coronavirus symptoms, who have been exposed to coronavirus, or are essential workers.

Test results typically take four to seven days. Residents who test positive may be called by the Chester County Health Department Disease Investigation team to complete an investigation.

Those with health insurance are asked to their insurance cards to the test site. However, there are no out-of-pocket costs or co-pays for coronavirus testing. Masks or face coverings must be worn.

On Thursday, the reserve center will host the flu clinic.

Vaccinations will be administered for free from 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Shots are available to both insured and uninsured people who are 3 years of age or older.

No appointments or preregistration are needed for the flu shots.

"High dose" flu shots will not be provided.

Masks or face coverings must be worn while at the flu clinic.

The US Army Reserve center is located at 500 W. 24th St. in Upland.
