Counterfeiting, Theft, Fraud, DUI, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their latest crime blotter recently.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Aug. 30 and Sept. 5.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

INCIDENTS:

• Theft at Waterford Apartments, 1900 block of Lawrence Road, on Aug. 30 at 3:44 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – an iPhone and two quarts of motor oil was stolen.
• Theft at the unit block of N. Edmonds Avenue on Aug. 30 at 10:25 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
• Theft at the unit block of N. Ormond Avenue on Aug. 30 at 10:55 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
• Theft at the unit block of Holbrook Road on Aug. 31 at 3:41 a.m. – While on patrol an officer observed a bag in the roadway. The bag had been stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
• Theft at the 1300 block of Leedom Road on Aug. 31 at 6:57 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – a wallet containing credit cards and $200 was stolen. Three fraudulent purchases were made with the credit cards.
• Theft at the 100 block of Myrtle Avenue on Aug. 31 at 9:32 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – loose change and a key fob was stolen.
• Identity Theft at the 900 block of Woodland Drive on Aug. 31 at 5:32 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to purchase 50 gallons of paint.
• Vandalism at the 900 block of Haverford Road on Aug. 31 at 10:04 a.m. – A rock was thrown through a window.
• Retail Theft at Acme, 600 block of W. Lancaster Avenue, on Sept. 1 at 1402 hours – An unknown male stole approximately $500 worth of groceries.
• Retail Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Sept. 2 at 3:01 p.m. – An unknown male stole approximately $300 worth of groceries.
• Fraud at the 1200 block of West Chester Pike on Sept. 2 at 4:37 p.m. – Victim reported multiple unauthorized purchases made with her credit card.
• Identity Theft at the 700 block of Ardmore Avenue on Sept. 2 at 2:20 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to open a credit card account.
• Vandalism at the 1500 block of Ashton Road on Sept. 2 at 11:43 p.m. – Residence was egged.
• Identity Theft at the 100 block of E. Westwood Park Drive on Sept. 3 at 5:05 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to open a credit card account.
• Counterfeiting at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Sept. 5 at 12:03 p.m. – An unknown male made a purchase with a counterfeit $100 bill and received $90.46 in change.
• Counterfeiting at Swiss Farms, 1200 block of Township Line Road, on Sept. 5 at 11:50 a.m. – An unknown male attempted to pass a counterfeit $100 bill.
• Fraud at the 1200 block of W. Township Line Road on Sept. 5 at 5:46 p.m. – An unknown male made a purchase with a fraudulent credit card.

ARRESTS:

• 37-year-old male, 7100 block of Dorel Street, Philadelphia. Charges: DUI, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, improper display of registration plate. Location: 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Aug. 30 at 1:39 p.m.
• 18-year-old male, 300 block of Simpson Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: Wynnewood Lanes, 200 block of Haverford Road. Date: Sept. 1 at 4:29 p.m.
• 19-year-old female, 100 block of Burmont Road, Drexel Hill. Charges: Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: Wynnewood Lanes, 200 block of Haverford Road. Date: Sept. 1 at 4:29 p.m.
• 46-year-old male, 5200 block of Oakland Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Sept. 4 at 11:01 a.m.
• 48-year-old male, 100 block of Berkley Avenue, Lansdowne. Charges: Retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Sept. 3 at 9:32 p.m.
• 52-year-old female, 100 block of Penn Street, Clifton Heights. Charges: Possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Sept. 5 at 4:50 p.m.
