Crosswalk Safety Enforcement Focus Of Haverford Police Initiative

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford are cracking down on crosswalk scofflaws.

Now through May 14, police in Haverford are focusing on crosswalk safety.

Police are looking to ensure drivers yield to pedestrians in crosswalks, per the law.

But police aren't just looking for drivers; they're also looking for pedestrians who may carelessly be crossing streets.

Officers will be reminding pedestrians to look both way and be aware while in crosswalks.

"We must work together as a community to establish a safer environment for all," police said.
