Dawg-tion 2012 Raises $45,000

Dawg-tion 2012 raised $45,000 during its auction.

Dawg-tion co-chairwoman Jennie Smith explained that the Dawg-tion was its annual silent auction that was held last month, where 240 people and 75 volunteers came together for a night of fun, food and music.

"Our silent auction featured great gifts from local business, restaurants, school camps, children's items, home, garden, sports, fitness, entertainment and personal services.The Students and parents made wonderful class gifts and memoirs," Smith wrote in an email to the Haverford-Havertown Patch. "We had a raffle table with over 80 different raffles of creative gifts from our community."

During its March 24 event, the Dawg-tion raised $45,000, where the money will go towards improving the school's infrastructure, Smith explained.

"We had many volunteers who solicited gifts, planned the decorations, helped set up for the evening, created the beautiful baskets and made the event legendary. All our volunteers were amazing and did a fantastic job bringing the event together," Smith stated.
