Delaware County Coronavirus Count Nearing 4,000

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Almost 4,000 people in Delaware County have the coronavirus, according to data provided Friday.

Figures released by Chester County, which is serving Delaware County's public health needs amid the coronavirus pandemic, show Delco now has 3,895 cases of the virus.

The county has gone from just 469 cases on April 1 to 3,895 on April 30.

Upper Darby has the most cases with 658.

Locations are pending for 183 cases.

However, there have been 9,060 negative test results in Delaware County to date.

There have been 235 deaths so far.

Middeltown has seen the most deaths with 40.

Locations are pending for five deaths.
