Delaware County Man Accused Of Killing Wife, Mother
A former shot put standout from India is facing murder and homicide charges after authorities say he killed his wife and mother.
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — A Delaware County man is facing homicide and related charged after he told police he killed his wife and mother inside his home.
Iqbal Singh, 62, of Newtown Square, has been charged with two counts each of felony homicide, felony first degree murder, felony third degree murder, and possession of an instrument of crime, court records show.
Singh was arrested Sunday at his home on the unit block of Rockwood Road.

According to Action News, the bodies of his wife and mother were found in the home with multiple stab wounds.
Singh himself was covered in blood and taken to a hospital for self-inflicted wounds.

The Delaware County Daily Times reports Singh told his son over the phone that he killed his wife and mother and told the police to get him.
According to Pune Mirror in India, Singh is a former shot putter in India who earned several medals in various competitions and immigrated to the United States in the 1980s.
Singh's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
