Delco Attempted Murder Suspect Caught In Harrisburg: PA State Police

A Chester man wanted on charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, and more was captured by state police in Harrisburg recently.

CHESTER, PA — A Delaware County man wanted on attempted murder, aggravated assault, and more charges was captured in Harrisburg, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Umar Kimmel Presbery, 29, of Chester, was taken into custody Tuesday by state police troopers in Harrisburg.

According to state police, Presbery was apprehended at about 4 p.m. Tuesday after troopers found him and another person in a stolen Subaru vehicle.

Police said the vehicle was stolen at about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday from a residential driveway in Berks County.

Before that, troopers found a GMC Terrain that had been stolen in Lehigh County and tied that vehicle to an attempted murder investigation launched by Tinicum Township Police.

Tinicum Police had issued an arrest warrant for Presbery in connection with a stabbing at the Airport Waterfront Inn that occurred at 12:39 a.m. Tuesday, the Delaware County Daily Times reports. The victim's condition is unknown.

In Delaware County, Presbery is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, robbery of a motor vehicle, recklessly endangering another person, possession of an instrument of crime, and theft.

In Dauphin County, he is charged with receiving stolen property.

Presbery was taken to the Daupin County prison after being apprehended Tuesday, and will be extradited back to Delaware County at some point.
